Meet the Reflexologist

Mia Earl, Ph.D., MPH, CHES

As a Certified Health Education Specialist and        Registered Certified Reflexologist, Mia’s journey with    reflexology began when she experienced a reflexology  session and noticed the improvement of sinus although  she received the therapy for relaxation.

Many health problems result from stress and reflexology creates a relaxing environment for the body which improves circulation, increases blood and oxygen supplies to the cells, regulates body functions and releases toxins from your body’s tissues bringing order, harmony and balance. As a complementary therapy, reflexology is especially good for chronic conditions and provides relief from the pain and other discomforts accompanying them. Fascinated with the art and science of reflexology, she began the study and training of the Ingram Method of reflexology (hand and feet) with the International Institute of Reflexology in October 2006 and completed certification in April 2008.  With family traumatic experiences of preventive health problems and a commitment to take a more holistic approach to own health, Mia has a strong passion to be of service to others through supporting their health and wellness needs.  It is her desire that every person reaches their maximum health potential and be pain free.Mia’s contagious passion for reflexology translates exponentially in her sessions. Sessions are peacefully therapeutic, stress reducing and energetically powerful at the same time. She has certainly found her bliss and her clients reap the extraordinary benefits.

Mia completed her Ph.D. in Natural Health June 2009.  She has a Master’s in Public Health: Community Health Education from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and is a Certified Health Education Specialist. She brings more than 20 years of experience in program management & implementation, counseling, wellness, preventive health and managed care.  She has devoted time to many community projects and speaking engagements with agencies such as the Friends for Life, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, LeBonheur Center for Children and Parents, Girl Scout Council of the Mid-South, The Church Health Center, Carin’ and Sharin’ Breast Cancer Support Group, Hope House, churches, and other local businesses and national professional organizations.
